Loungewear Drip

Ok, so let’s keep it real – who isn’t spending most of their waking hours in loungewear? I’ll wait…

Exactly. So today on the blog, I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces to lounge in whether I’m working, cooking, writing, or actually… lounging of all things. Loungewear drip is what we’ll call it, and it’s actually something I’ve loved for a long time… even pre-quarantine.

Me and my loungewear…

I’ve been working my 9-5 for a little over a year now, and it started off as a completely remote position when I was still living in New York. So I had already thankfully been relieved of the going-into-the-office-everyday life. A whole closet full of corporate slacks, pencil skirts, and pretty blouses… and all I wanted to wear most of the time was comfy joggers and colorful sports bras. Told ya! I spent my waking hours in loungewear. It couldn’t be sloppy tho. Never sloppy. That was never the move.

I always wanted to be cute enough to run out if I needed to. Ok maybe add a bra first if I wasn’t already wearing one. But chill enough to not feel stuffy or restricted. Like at any good moment, I could doze on the sofa and take a quick nap, but not actually be in bedtime pajamas. A respectable 2 p.m. work-from-home attire.

So I’ve actually come to have a nice little closet of ready-to-wear cuteness that has yet to fail me on a random rainy Wednesday. And with the onset of the pandemic, there are a variety of online retailers who offer very cute and affordable sets.

Whether you are size 2 or size 22, we’ve got options! So when it comes to loungewear drip, here are few of my favorites!

Some of my favorites

Let’s start with this super cute 3-piece cozy set that I’ve been rocking with joy this week on my instagram. (Oh, and before you ask, here’s the info on the egg chair) Now back to my fit. It’s from Fashionnova Curve. I’m wearing a size 1x and it’s still a bit large . But I’m not sure if the XL would have been too small. I’m new to Fashionnova, but so far, most everything I’ve purchased has been fab. And I love that it offers a lot, almost too much, in terms of clothing for larger sizes. In addition to the one I’m rocking, I also love this heather grey option.

Amazon is always my go-to these days when I need something quick, cute, and always returnable should it not fit the way I want. For instance, this Sherpa Fleece 3 piece outfit is super cute and will most likely find its way to my car this week. If you order it before I do, let me know how it turns out!

Another Amazon option is this Rib-Knit Pullover Sweater & Jogger set that comes in sizes small – xxLarge. A definite cute option to keep you warm into winter, but always ready to make that lunchtime run.

Next up is Asos. I’ve been rocking with them for a few years now, actually, and so I’m not surprised at all that they have a few great sets to lounge in. Unfortunately, when I was writing this post, a lot of the options I wanted to tag were out of stock. But I did find this set is in a beautiful mink color, and the black is available as well. They both look super lush! You’ll have to check back to see when this 3-piece set is back in stock.

A few other options

Nastygal is a brand I’m not overly familiar with, but yes to all teh cuteness I’ve seen so far! I’ve linked to a few of their items in my liketoknow.it profile, and here they are again popping up in my loungewear drop blog post. Really cute sets, though, and prices seem reasonable. Maybe try them out and let me know what you think! By the way, I don’t see a lot in their plus size section in terms of loungewear, but if you’re on the smaller end of the size chart, there are definitely some cute items like this knitted short lounger set.

Finally, I’ll highlight a few pieces from SHEIN. I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical with this site as sometimes prices seemed to low to be true. But in the few things I’v ordered, give or take 1 or 2 items, the sizing was pretty legit and I’d try them again. So here’s a 3 piece robe set that goes up to a size 12, and then this beautiful burgundy 3 piece set that goes up to size 22.

So as you can see, the options are plentiful! And I’m sure there are more, but I’ve at least gotten you started. If you spend your waking hours in loungewear, does it matter if it’s cute or not? Did you see any options you’d personally consider? Do let me know, I’d love to hear from you!
