The wild thing about being a boundaries and confid

The wild thing about being a boundaries and confidence coach is realizing I oftentimes want more for my (potential) clients than they do.

It’s a tricky situation.

Wrapping up what people need inside a pretty package of what they want.

I don’t always get it right.

But I don’t mind failing… as long as I’m failing forward. Cause every “no” brings me closer to the “yes”. And every “I can’t” brings me closer to someone’s “I’m so happy I did!”

So I’ll keep the light on for the “maybe next time” and “when are you doing this again” but feel full burning the midnight oil for the “I never knew I could this” and the “this has changed my whole life”.

It’s difficult when you want more for people than they want for themselves.

But keep going.
Keep offering.
Keep creating.
Build it and they’ll eventually find it.

Cause when they do? Its totally worth the effort 💕

So here’s the thing about living a confident life…

You’re never too afraid to try something new 🙌🏾

Earlier this year, I spoke at a school on the topic of Boundaries and Balance to a room of teachers, parents, and caregivers. The room was not full. In fact, even though I was invited to be the guest speaker and many invitations had gone out… the seats were plentiful.

Ya girl was nervous.

But ya know what I did?

Spoke anyway! Spoke like the room was full. Laughed about the echoes in the space 🤣 and said well at least I don’t have to yell 🤭 Gave my entire talk, had great audience participation, and afterwards was approached by one of the parents who worked at the airport and had an idea. He wanted me to speak at their TSA event on confidence and boundaries - at least that’s what I thought I heard 👀

What it actually ended up being was what you see here. And yet again…

Ya girl was nervous.

But here I am. Along with my sis @ms_jackson74. Behind security gates at the Charlotte International Airport as the only Boundaries & Confidence Coach at the TSA 4th Annual Mental Health Awareness event. It may have been been my first time doing something like this, but it was an amazing day!!

So much networking, so many beautiful women who admitted to needing much better boundaries, new coaching clients attending tonight’s B is for Boundaries workshop (are you registered 👀), invites to speak at upcoming events… just a great experience.

Takeaways:

Do it anyway.
Do it nervous.
Do it with only a few people in the room.
Do it with a lot of people in the room.
Bring the products.
Make the huge banner.
Wear the funky frames.
Offer the sale.
Make the proposal.
Accept the invite.
Do the thing 💪🏾

So I’ve been walking 2 miles most mornings… an

So I’ve been walking 2 miles most mornings… and this week, I noticed something: 👀

I didn’t dread it.
I didn’t need as many slow walks.
And I finished faster than before, like way faster.

But here’s the thing:

It wasn’t because I pushed harder…
But because I kept showing up.

No matter how slow. No matter how tired. No matter how messy. (Especially when the cute run pants are dirty 🤣)

But that’s how progress works… in your confidence, in your boundaries, in your healing.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be consistent.

You just have to love yourself enough to not give up.
