My Amazon Top 5 Beauty Finds
In a world where happy hours and summer BBQ’s have been replaced (hopefully temporarily) by Zoom parties and Face Time date nights, taking care of your beauty needs may have fallen a bit down the quarantine flagpole. However, it doesn’t have to be the case! The fact that you may be a little sunlight deficient doesn’t mean your self-care routine has to suffer. Step out the jammies and let’s get pretty. I’m bringing you my Amazon top 5 beauty finds – from my blog to your living room (or wherever you choose to indulge in my wordiness). Ready to shop? Ok, let’s go…
1. LED Ring Light
Ever been on a video call, like Zoom or Google Hangouts, and realized that the light wasn’t quite catching your best side? Enter the ring light! Both the 10″ LED Ring light with phone holder and the 18″ Ring Light with Stand and phone holder (think photo shoot over just zoom conferencing) are amazing options! I have both versions, but lately I’ve been using my table-top version for my many meetings each week. And it comes in handy especially when I’m doing 1-on-1 makeup teach sessions or social media consultations with my clients. If you’re using video conferencing for any reasons, I highly suggest a ring light to keep it cute and professional.
2. Home Facial Steamer
I am a professional Makeup Artist and even I am not wearing a full face of makeup every day. Some days (ok, ok… most days), I really just want this face to breath free. But make no mistake – while I may not be pulling out my carton of egg blenders (these are super cute, right? I know) and dabbing on my Makeup Forever, I am definitely following a skin care routine and steaming this face at least once a week. I like this Nano Steamer with the temp control and stainless steel skin kit. It’s quick, relaxing, and my face appreciates it. I’ll even add a few drops of essential oils to really set my in-home spa day off.
3. Infrared Home Sauna
OK, so we spoke about steaming your face in #2, but what a bout an entire spa experience for your body – at home! I purchased my infrared sauna many years ago, and while all of my moving from place to place hasn’t always let me great – me and my sauna are reunited again and I love it! I couldn’t find the exact version I purchased, but this SereneLife Oversize Portable Infrared Home Spa is about as close as you’re going to get! Like mine, it also comes with the heated foot pad and chair. One advantage of this one, though – it is oversized! My hips would have loved this had it been available. My tip – cover the chair in a towel first to catch the drip, and have a nice magazine or show to watch while you sweat your life away!
4. Kimono Long Robe
So this one is more personal and geared more specifically to my ladies (sorry guys, I know you read as well, but maybe purchase this for your lady?).
Ladies! I know we’ve been home and chillin in our sweats and big tees, but trust me when I say nnoooothing feels better than lounging cute! And this still doesn’t require a bra LOL. I purchased this Plus Size Women’s Kimono Long Robe in this exact same color (there are tons of options, I may go back and order another) and my homegirl saw it and immediately had me place an order for her. Talk about luxurious. I’m writing in in now 🙂 And I already have a couple robes I like to lounge in, but yea…. trust me… treat yo’self! Especially if you range in the 1x-2x-3x size. But even if you don’t need the extra roominess like me, myself, and I – here’s another option for you as well 🙂
5. Cordless Deep Conditioning Thermal Heat Cap
Cordless conditioning cap! I know right? What a GREAT idea! So when it comes to my hair, I’m still trying to find my favorite thing. I love big, natural, curly hair – the bigger the better. But since my natural hair obviously doesn’t have the same aspirations, I wear it all kinds of ways: individuals, crochet braids, feeders, curls, etc. And sometimes I just want to chop it all off and color it blonde… again. But however I wear my hair, it always needs to be conditioned and moisturized. Hello cordless heating cap! Just put this baby in the microwave a few times – follow the instructions so you don’t blow anything up – and chill for 30 minutes wherever you are. Thank me later 🙂

These beauty finds are just what I needed. I actually purchased a facial steamer at the beginning of the pandemic. Lord knows I miss my esthetician 😥 but now I can still receive a spa experience. I will definitely try the other recommendations 😉.
